Interested in starting a new career with Oakdale Enterprises? Here are some tips to help you on your way.

Values

Oakdale is a values-based organisation and all our employees are expected to adhere to, support and promote our values at all times.

EEO

Oakdale is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We will not discriminate and we employ the person most suited to the job based on merit, including an assessment of “fit” with our values.

Find the right job for you

All jobs are listed on our Work with us page. Read the position description carefully so that you are clear about the job and whether you are suited to the role.

If there is not a specific role being advertised, you can lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI) and your application will be assessed when positions become available.

Applying for a job

If a job is listed, download the Position Description from Working with us page. Follow the instructions on the Position Description to apply.

We require the following information from applicants:

  • a current resume, limited to no more than 4 pages (with a font size no smaller than 10 point)
  • Details of qualifications
  • your career aspirations
  • Two referees (at least one referee must be a former employee).

For some roles, applicants might be asked to address specific selection criteria.

Interview

If you are shortlisted for a position, we will invite you to an interview. At the same time, we will send you a pre-employment health questionnaire to complete and bring to the interview.

The interview panel will comprise the hiring manager, a Human Resources representative and other Oakdale employees as relevant. Referee checks will be undertaken after the interview if you are shortlisted to the next stage of recruitment.

Depending on the needs of the role we may ask you to undertake other assessment activities as part of the selection process. We will provide you with all the information you need to ensure you have the best possible opportunity to showcase your skills and abilities as you progress through our selection process.

Safeguarding standards

We take seriously our responsibility to maintain environment that is safe. If you are the preferred candidate for a position with us, you will be required to undertake a National Police Check and, depending on the role, a Working with Children and Vulnerable People Check. A commitment to Safeguarding Children and Young People Standards is also required. All job offers are subject to satisfactory completion of these safeguarding checks.

Job offer

You are now close to joining the team and starting your new career! When you have been offered a job, we will provide you with an employment pack which contains the formal contract offer for the position and other relevant paper work.
